About the OPPORTUNITY
An opportunity now exists for a suitably qualified Power and Propulsion Installation Coordinator to assist in the delivery of the Power & Propulsion system requirements for the Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP)
Reporting to the Power & Propulsion Installation Manager this role will see you responsible for safety, quality, trade resourcing, risk and opportunities for Power & Propulsion System scope whilst supporting continuous improvement and sharing of lessons learnt across the business to contribute to Ship on Ship learning

This opportunity will see you:
  • Support Propulsion equipment pre-load out and load out activities to ship, Shaft alignment and installation activities, along with the management of stakeholders involved in the process
  • Support chairing daily Production meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Collaboration in Key Ship construction milestones, inclusive but not limited to:
  • Float Off
  • Main Generator Light Off (MGLO)
  • Main Engine Light Off (MELO)
  • Propulsion Trials Readiness
  • Sea Trials
  • Supporting AFT and Machinery Area Managers for the management and deconfliction of all activities within the allocated Area on the nominated vessel, via the Ship Plan of Day (SPOD) process
  • Support continuous improvement and sharing of lessons learnt across the business to contribute to Ship on Ship learning
  • Establish strong relationships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders and customer representatives
About YOU:
  • Degree or trade qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or related disciplines with practical application in the technical domain
  • Demonstrated experience in Power and Propulsion systems
  • Previous shipbuilding experience will be highly regarded
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and develop effective working relationships\
  • Flexible, practical minded and driven to improve current processes and solve problems
  • Capability to work under pressure, deliver outputs to safety, schedule, cost and quality
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
