About the team

The Y Queensland’s childcare services has been at the heart of Australian communities for more than 40 years, with our first early learning service opening in Brisbane in 1977 after we identified the need for childcare that focused on helping children grow in body, mind and spirit.

We also operation during school holidays for Vacation Care (6am to 6pm).

The service has access to multi-functional rooms and playground area offering a wide range of fun, stimulating and diverse programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings. This helps encourage a sense of community amongst our children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows children to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.

Programs and activities are aligned with the YMCA Mission – to provide opportunities for children to grow in body, mind and spirit – underpinned by our values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility. We blend this philosophy with the National Quality Framework ‘My Time Our Place’ and Wooloowin State School’s educational principles to develop appropriate, engaging and most of all FUN activities for your child whilst in our care.
