About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Performance Manager to join our Maritime delivery team based at Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA.
Reporting to the Operations Performance & Capability Manager, this role will be responsible for providing expert performance analysis and team leadership, along with maintenance and execution of the Operations Performance Measurement Framework across all programs within the Osborne shipyard. They will be responsible to track Operations performance metrics as well as provide periodic performance reporting.
They will oversee the collection, analysis, and distribution of Operations performance data and provide recommendations for data and reporting improvements as required. They will work collaboratively with internal functions and stakeholders within the Operations business unit to interpret and translate multiple data sets to successfully identify past, present and future performance indicators and influences. They will also provide support and recommendations for Operations improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Operations Performance team and those working with performance data
  • Ensure Operations performance governance and procedures are maintained and relevant
  • Responsible for updates to, and execution of the Operations Performance Measurement Framework
  • Support the Operations Capability team in delivering periodic updates to Operations plans and business documents
  • Set out, define and maintain Operations performance metrics
  • Define and support performance improvement initiatives across Operations
  • Responsible to deliver the monthly Operations Performance Report
  • Provide performance data and analysis as required to Operations internal and external reports
  • Align activities and collaborate with a range of stakeholders and functional departments across the business
  • Provide analysis of the lead indicators for the Operations Quarterly Look Ahead (QLA) process
  • Provide performance data, visualisation and reporting update recommendations
About YOU

  • Diploma of Project Management or qualifications in a relevant field (advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of modern project management methodologies
  • Exposure to and knowledge of maritime defence programs in the UK and/or Australia would be advantageous
  • Experience in data interrogation and interpretation to best for business decisions
  • Experience in leading and mobilising teams
  • Highly autonomous and self-motivated, demonstrating sound judgment, initiative and an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Baseline Defence Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain
