About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Handyperson to join the Engineering team at Stamford Grand Adelaide on a Full-time basis. You and the team will be tasked with a multitude of maintenance tasks to be completed, ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs are carried out in a safe, effective and timely manner around the Hotel.

Core requirements of your role

As a part of the engineering, maintenance team, your daily multifaceted role is to ensure timely maintenance action is carried out in all areas of the Hotel, ensuring facilities are maintained as per standard operational and safety standard procedures to meet guest and Area General Managers service expectations. Activities and outcomes involving all maintenance, servicing, and presentation across the Hotel including preventative maintenance forms the daily core workload. To succeed in the role, we seek a results driven professional with a can-do attitude.

Minor repairs to building facilities, plant, tools and equipment are completed in established timeframes
Major project assistance where required and delegated
Completion of maintenance tasks within allocated timeframes
Identify and carry out preventative maintenance, repair and improvements to the building, grounds and equipment
Efficiently respond to internal maintenance ticketing system enquiries
Preventive maintenance schedules are maintained and evidenced
Use a variety of equipment and tools to complete tasks

About you

Trade qualification
Effective communication, organisational and time management skills
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
Previous experience in a 4–5-star hotel environment (desired)
Full working rights within Australia
