About the role
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Administration Assistant to provide efficient clerical, administrative and operational support to the Corps in order to enhance outcomes and support the achievement of The Salvation Army’s mission.
Reporting to the Corps Officer, this is a permanent, part-time (30.4 hours per week) position based in Werribee, Victoria. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Clerks Private Sector Award Level 4.
You will successfully
  • Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Coordinate Corps communication strategy.
  • Assist Corps Officers / Corps leaders in planning and coordination of special events such as Red Shield Appeal.
  • Manage ministry rosters as required (eg. Welcome Team).
  • Create job requisitions and process recruitment and on-boarding of volunteers within Workday.
  • Complete Finance tasks such as receipting donations, banking, processing invoices, reimbursements and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate hire of Church facilities / equipment ensuring all insurance policies, hire agreements and other relevant documentation is in order.
You will have
  • Certificate in Business Administration(desirable).
  • A current Victorian Employee Working With Children Check.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in administration.
  • Strong attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to manage time and priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
